Tick, Tick, Tick...
Here lies my thoughts, feelings, loves, woes, tales, truths, fears, and dreams. Writing has been a place for me to test my boundaries, experiment with everything people don't accept me to be in person. With text, I am free.

I should be a heart surgeon
Because I really want to be. Because I want to save lives. Because I am fascinated with medicine and the human body. Because I would love to be able to do what it is I know I'd be happy doing. But instead of being a surgeon, I choose be uncertain. I choose to have absolutely no idea what I want to do with my life, and to wander aimlessly through every path I take hoping it will lead me somewhere. Why can't I just fix people's hearts? Because that's all we really need to be alive. Not love, not sex, not art, not words. Just a beating heart.

You probably would need a functioning brain. Not to burst your bubble but people live without hearts, without a brain the heart wont function.
ReplyDelete^^^ you reli missed the point there
ReplyDeleteIndeed. Also, you can be completely brain dead and live. Your heart beat is independent of the brain, it has it's own electrical pulse and neurons can fire on their own without the brain. The brain actually slows down your natural heart beat... so weird. So.. pretty snazzy :)
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of someone living without a heart.
